Burleigh N. Mears, III
Burleigh is licensed to practice public accounting in Tennessee and in Georgia.  He is a member of the AICPA and the Georgia Society of CPAs.
Burleigh formed Naegele & Mears, CPAs in 1987 and has always been the firm's managing partner. Prior to creating the firm, Burleigh was the controller for Trammell Crow Properties.
Although Burleigh has experience in all aspects of taxation and accounting, he specializes in taxation strategies for owners of small businesses.
Burleigh is an avid boater and ocean lover and has enjoyed boat racing in the past.
Joseph G. Naegele
Jay is licensed to practice in Georgia and Maryland. He is a member of the AICPA, Medical Group Management Association, Georgia and Maryland CPA societies and other professional organizations.
 He began his professional career at Ernst & Ernst (now Ernst & Young) in Baltimore.
He joined Naegele & Mears, CPAs in 1995. He brought expertise in medical practice accounting due to his experience at Johns Hopkins Health System as Assistant VP of Finance and at Geisinger Health Systems as Director of Accounting.
Jay's practice includes individual and small business accounting and taxation. He is particularly fond of special projects such as new business formation, succession planning, and forensic accounting.
He loves to travel and has been to many exotic places with his wife, Sharrie.
